In July 2011 I gave a kidney to a friend. This process took more than a year, from the first medical check to the transplant surgery and to my return to normal life. During this time I documented the process in a blog. The original blogging service was removed, but I got all my posts from their database just before they went out of business. So I’m recreating the blog here.
This process was very hospital-centric, as you can imagine, so I added some recollections and experiences of our sick daughter with whom we spent and are still spending quite some time at hospitals.
